  Bulldogs Place Sixth At Warrior Relay

  The Mediapolis Bulldogs finished sixth in the Class AA portion of the Warrior Relays held April 28 in Keosauqua.
  Mediapolis’ best finish came in the 4x800 meter relay. The Bulldogs ran an 8:37.09, to place second behind Mid- Prairie’s time of 8:36.31. Running for the Bulldogs were Kyle Baker, Skylar Poole, Jonathon “Sonny” Thomson, and Nathan Frank. “We were finally able to make some progress in this event,” explained head coach Brian Borrison. “We ran a great time for the conditions we were running in,” referring to the cold temperatures and high winds.
  Frank ran a 4:58.10 to finish
fourth in the 1600-meter run. Baker of Eddyville-Blakesburg won the event in 4:42.71.
  The 4x200 meter relay team of John Mathiasmeier, Poole, Brock Massner, and J. Thomson ran a 1:37.37 to finish fourth. Mid-Prairie won in 1:33.93. “Handoffs were better but we need to improve our speed in this relay,” stated Borrison. Click Here For More Information

    Bullettes Dominate at L&M Invitational    
       
   
  The Mediapolis Bullettes crowned four individual champions, won five of seven relays, and placed second in the other two to dominate the field at the L&M Invitational May 1 in Grandview.
  Taylor Keitzer won the 100- meter dash in 12.63, Laila Brown won the 200-meter dash in 28.28, Kara Keller won the 400-meter dash in 1:03.60, and Amanda Kalina jumped 15’8.25” to win the long jump. The quartet of Nina Earnest, Whitney Wagenbach, Emma Marshall, and Keitzer circled the track in 53.25 to win the 4x100 meter relay.     Bullettes Win Big At Arrow Relays  
 
       
   
  The Mediapolis girl’s track and field team traveled to Wapello April 24 to take first place in Class A of the Arrow Relays.
  Amanda Kalina led the way for the Bullettes by taking first place in the long jump with a jump of 15’3”, the 200-meter dash in 27.43, and the 400- meter dash in a time of 1:30.51. Teammates Laila Brown and Nina Earnest finished right behind Kalina in the 200 and 400- meter dashes. Brown ran a 27.84 and Earnest a 1:05.89 respectively.       Golfers Drop Two To L&M/ Place Fourth IN SEISC Meet  
 
         
 
     
   
  The Mediapolis high school golf teams dropped two to L&M, April 21, at Indian Hills Golf Course in Wapello. The Bulldogs lost 193-178 and the Bullettes 259-247.
  Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Brandon White with a round of 46. Thomas Lingenfelter added a 48, Jacob Scheitlin a 49, and Chad Hasten a 50 to complete the Bulldog scoring. Matthew Schulte shot a round of 71 and Conner Kester an 81 on the day. Click Here For More Information

    MS Boys Rack Up Points- Girls Take Team Title At L&M  
 
       
       
   
  The Mediapolis Middle School boy’s track team dominated the L&M Middle School Invitational April 29. The young Bulldogs racked up 174 points to claim the team title, 74 points over second place finisher L&M with 100.
  Wil Janssen won the 200-meter dash in 26.43, Sam Strawhacker won the 7-flight hurdles in 13.35, and Michael Hobbs won the 800- meter run in a time of 2:31.69.
  The quartet of Janssen, Joseph Fedoris, Russ Moehle, and Brad Dewitt ran a 51.94 to win the 4x100 meter relay.
  Janssen then teamed with Colton Welcher, Blake Beckman, and Patrick Taffe to anchor the winning 4x400 meter relay in a time of 4:08.34.
  Mepo’s distance medley team won in a time of 4:29.28. Running for the young Bulldogs were Fedoris, Jesse Ertz, Welcher, and Caleb Hemphill. Beckman, Hemphill, Brody Armstrong, and Hobbs won the 4x800 meter relay in a time of 10:26.53.
